DOG DAYS OF AUGUST DOCKSIDE RENDEZVOUS
Sat., Aug. 21, 5 pm. to 8 p.m.

Calling all CGSC dogs! Come out for a party and a show.
Yes, we'll have the popular "stay" contest, and of course "best trick," and assigning points for the best cat walk down the CGSC dock.

But as much as the dogs liked putting on a show last year, the dog biscuits at the bar seemed to be the most popular. And chef Alan Creed will be grilling hot dogs and having other treats for the owners.
We'll reserve the dock for CGSC boats with dogs aboard, so stow your water bowls and tie up. But no boats required for this rendezvous-- everyone should come out for this FREE party. Don't forget to bring a chair or blanket for the movie on the sail.
Check out photos from last year's Dog Days rendezvous here.
LABOR DAY WEEKEND CRUISE TO RODRIGUEZ KEY DEEP SEA FISHING TRIP
Fri, Sept 3 to Mon, Sept. 6
Time to renew your fishing license and lobster stamp. Check the snorkle gear and fishing poles. Dig out the tickle stick you've been using to measure the fuel tank since last season and plan to get away to blue water. We'll have a skipper's meeting the week before to dicuss final plans so let me know if you plan to attend this year's trip.
Tentative Plan:
Friday Sept. 3/ 3:00 p.m. Depart CGSC Anchor off Elliott Key Harbor
Saturday Sept.4/ 8:00 a.m. Depart Elliot and Sail south to Angelfish Creek or Ceasar's Creek depending tide and drafts of boats participating. Stop on way to Rodriquez Key for short snorkel stops.

Saturday evening anchor off Rodriquez. Dingy in to land or party on boats.
Sunday: Sleep late. free day to fish, dingy/kayak, snorkel or explore area.
Sunday night potluck, raft up

Monday September 6 Labor Day Crack of dawn. Head out to Molassess Reef and troll north on outside for fish.
Monday Night Fish Fry back at CGSC. Burger Barbecue as backup

Please enjoy the 2010 CGSC Annual Rendezvous Song:
Just sit right back and you’ll hear a tale
A tale of a weekend trip
That started at the Sailing Club
Aboard some motley ships
The mates tossed the mooring lines away
The skippers southward steered
Forget the dark clouds to the east
It’s the mosquitoes that we feared
… the mosquitoes that we feared
The compasses they worked fine that day
But cell phones all were tossed
Ships vanished on the course we set
For three days, we got lost
… For three days, we got lost
The fleet dropped their hooks off the shore of this
Uncharted Biscayne Isle
With a Goombay Bar
and Bean Soup, too
The Opti sailors
and their crew
The Com-mo-dore
Pirates' treasure, and the rest
Here on Ell-i-ott's Isle
